Pressure Screen Basket

A pressure screen basket is a perforated or slit cylindrical component installed inside a pressure screen. Its main function is to separate qualified fibers (accept pulp) from impurities (such as pulp clumps, fiber bundles, plastic flakes, etc.) under pressure difference.

 

Working Principle of Pressure Screen Basket

 

Driven by pressure, the pulp flows from the outside to the inside of the screen basket (or vice versa, depending on the design). Qualified fibers and water smaller than the gaps or apertures of the screen basket can pass through and become “accept pulp”; while impurities larger than the gaps are blocked outside the screen basket and discharged as “tailings”, thus achieving the purification and screening of the pulp.
