    Vacuum Pump In Paper Industry

Vacuum pump is widely used in paper making industry. There are corresponding functions when vacuum pump used in every stage of paper making, the details as following tips.

    1. Black liquor evaporation
The black liquor evaporator in the pulp mill is used to concentrate the black liquor produced in the pulp cleaning process so that these liquids can be recovered in the recovery furnace and reused in the pulp production.

    2. Coarse pulp stock washer
Prior to bleaching or other raw material preparation, the brown pulp washer removes pulp chemicals (“black liquor”) from the paper stock. The brown pulp washer is a typical horizontal drum filter. Drum-shaped cavities can generate vacuum. As the drum rotates in the stock slurry, the vacuum pump sticks the stock to the outer surface of the drum and helps remove (clean) the black liquor from the stock.

    3. Lime mud and filter

A lime mud filter in a pulp mill is used to recover lime in the white water clarification process. Similar to the brown pulp washer, the lime mud filter is a typical horizontal drum filter. A vacuum can be created inside the drum. As the drum rotates in the lime mud, a lime cake forms on the outer surface of the drum. Then scrape it and reuse it in the white water process.

    4. Sediment filter

Precipitate filters in pulp mills are used to filter unburnt suspended particles in “green liquor” and remove them before fully smelting carbon particles, iron-containing compounds, and insoluble furnace debris. The sediment filter is a typical horizontal drum filter. A vacuum can be created inside the drum and vacuum pump used to extract particles from the green liquor.
